Kids Fine Arts Camp

July 23-27

Monday - Thursday: 9AM-3PM

Friday - 9AM-5:30PM

Because of the fast pace of the week and the time needed to prepare for the Friday night performance, all students must be present for the entirety of each day. By signing up, you are promising attendance for the entire week. If you find that you are unable to attend the camp, please call the church office at (361)573-4373 so that the space can be given to the next person on the waiting list. Pre-registration is required. Registration for this event closes on July 5th or when all spaces are filled).

Ages: completed 1st grade thru completed 5th grade

Cost: Free (pre-registration is required)

Campers are provided with a performance t-shirt, CD, score/script (for assigned parts), daily snack & lunch, and a week of FUN!!!

Special Wednesday afternoon activity at SonValley Ranch

If you camper is assigned to a solo and/or a special part, they will receive a script/score the week of June 3-7 (to be picked up at the church office). Campers with special assigned parts will need to work on their part and have words committed to memory by the start of camp. Vocal & dialogue coaches will work with those campers at rehearsals held after camp hours on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday of the camp week. Times & days will be assigned based on the part that is given and the schedule will be included with the script/score.

What to bring each day:

Fun attitude, willingness to learn and work as a team, modest dress (shorts at least fingertip length, no tank tops/muscle shirts or spaghetti straps), no clothing with profanity or violent/inappropriate (guns, alcohol, etc.) depictions. Please do not bring electronics (including cell phones). We cannot be responsible for lost items.

Snack is provided. If you wish to send an alternate snack, please send it read to eat, and marked with child's name. We regret that we cannot provide refrigeration or heating up of items. Due to allergies we are a NUT FREE CAMPUS. Please -- no nuts or nut products (ex. peanut butter).

Lunch will NOT be provided so please send a ready to eat lunch. We regret we cannot provide refrigeration or heating up of items.

Will your camper be brining any medication with them?*

Ex. Rescue inhaler, epi-pen, lunchtime dosage medication

Medications must be in the original containers. Prescription medication must be in the camper's name. All over the counter medications must have dosage instructions for the camper's age OR be accompanied by a doctor's written instructions. Morning medications should be given before the camper arrives.

2 security pick up tags will be issued for each camper. The camper may ONLY be picked up by showing that tag. If the tag is not displayed in the pick up line, you will be required to park and come into the church office to show proper ID to pick up the camper. You will receive pick up details with your camper packet. These packets will be available for pick up at the First Baptist Church office starting July 17. (Office hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30AM-5:30PM)
